Techland has deployed its Halloween update for Dying Light 2, which sees the return of Tower Raid, plus a host of fixes for the likes of co-op and gameplay. Tower Raid
- Lobby: Resolved overlapping mesh issues.
- Fixed instances of getting stuck in obstacles on Floors 5, 10, 11, and 20.
- Resolved visual issues on Floor 17.
- Corrected clipping items and assets on Floors 9 and 19.
- Closed an out-of-bounds escape window on the roof; adjusted asset positioning.
- Volatile Tyrant can no longer trap players between objects.
- “Raid Failed” screen now displays without delay.
- Fixed progress tracking for multiple bounties.
- Minor adjustments made to modifiers.
Co-op
- Resolved co-op spawning issues in Tower Raid.
- Fixed co-op soft locks in Tower Raid.
- Players no longer get stuck on the “Waiting for Host” screen.
Gameplay
- Infected around Military Convoys now attack on approach.
- Fixed the “Diva” quest issue where Lola’s mink stole could get stuck.
- Improved AI collision, ensuring Biters maintain player distance.
- Volatile Hives reappear in GRE Vaccine Lab spawn.
- Resolved soft-locks in Pilgrim Missions.
- Fixed NPCs causing gameplay soft-locks.
- Updated Bash and Crowd Runner skills’ video previews to match in-game mechanics.
- Enhanced physics for Bash and Crowd Runner skills.
- Fixed unlimited balls bug; picked-up Game Ball remains in inventory.
- Resolved issue of being unable to pick up certain items.
Technical
- Updated “Gritty” Filter preset (no changes to “Gritty Dark”).
- Restored missing materials in the environment.
- Added missing SFX and VFX for EXPcalibur and grenade splash.
- Minor improvements to water splash behavior for throwables and traps.
- Vegetation now reacts to weather with reduced wind effects.
- Fixed LODs in the Wharf and Garrison Electrical Station areas.
- Adjusted Aiden’s reactions when quickly entering and leaving UV areas.
- Fixed issue where changing outfits in the stash resumed dialogue playback.
- Adjusted Aiden’s orientation at the end of dialogues.
- Fixed game freeze when opening the map while changing locations.
- Resolved missing DLC pop-up issue after offline sessions.
- Patched visual settings bugs and improved upscale calibration.
- Fixed redirect button issues in the Steam overlay.
