In a spate of news that doesn’t happen often enough, Techland’s open-world zombie fanfare Dying Light has had its release brought forward to January 27, the developer has confirmed via its Twitter.
The game, originally scheduled for a February release, now misses the strong competition posed by the likes of Sony Santa Monica’s The Order: 1886 and CD Projekt RED’s ambitious role-player The Witcher III and instead launches in a month that doesn’t usually see many big, post-Christmas releases.
Developer Techland is perhaps best known for the Dead Island and Call of Juarez series’, which both saw release on Sony’s PS3 amongst other systems.
