At E3 2011, Sony has announced that a 3D PlayStation-branded monitor will launch later this year at a very affordable price.
One of the major reasons why more people aren’t investing in 3D T.V. is that the monitors are far too expensive, but Sony hopes that the $499 price tag of its new 24 inch monitor will have PlayStation gamers flocking to pick one up.
The monitor, which allows players to use two seperate screens for split-screen gameplay, will also be available as a bundle, with a pair of 3D specs and a copy of Resistance 3.
There are over 100 3D games currently available for PS3, including Killzone 3, Crysis 2 and Gran Turismo 5. A firm release date and a European/U.K. price for the 3D monitor has yet to be confirmed.
