Tomonobu Itagaki has let slip that his upcoming blood-filled blaster Devil’s Third is roughly 30 percent complete.
Chatting with Famitsu (via Andriasang), Itagaki-san revealed that the stylish actioner is still some ways off and admitted the quality isn’t quite there yet, though added the team is currently in the process of polishing things up.
The news shouldn’t really come as a surprise considering the game won’t be out until 2012, though Itagaki promised more info would be released at the Tokyo Game Show in September.
In terms of content, the Dead or Alive creator teased that the multiplayer portion of Devil’s Third would form a major part of the overall experience. This ties in with Itagaki’s past works, which have attracted ample praise from critics for their innovative online elements.
Devil’s Third will be released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms.
