One thing you can guarantee with Capcom’s upcoming dragon-themed action combat game, Dragon’s Dogma, is lots of fire and, inevitably, lots of dragons. But judging from what we’ve seen so far from the game, there’s lots more to it than just dragon slaying.
Combat is deep, with your three team-mates in tow learning their abilities and gaining traits based on what they’ve learned from you, while the combat itself takes into account everything from the weight of your weapon to the material that adorns your armour. There’s more than just dragons to kill too, with a wide variety of enemies, including griffins, goblins and the ferocious Chimera, which sports the body of a lioness and a tail of a snake.

Dragon’s Dogma is due for release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in Japan early 2012, with a North American and European release date yet to be confirmed.
