E3 2011: Ghost Recon Future Soldier multiplayer detailed

Ubisoft has confirmed the first major details of the multiplayer component of Ghost Recon Future soldier, which will be handled by GRAW multiplayer developer Red Storm.

Players will be able to choose from three classes: Rifleman, Engineer and Scout and as they progress can unlock new gear to improve their performance. Customization will be far more in-depth than previous Ghost Recon games, with players being able to choose from dozens of weapon components, from triggers to barrels.

New to the series is a suppression system, which is said to add a “strategic layer to firefights,” while a new coordination tool-set will allow team-mates to share Intel immediately and silently. The four multiplayer modes, which include the classic Siege mode, will focus on team-work and gathering Intel. One way players can do this is by sneaking up behind opponents and stealing information which will give away enemy positions.

Information relating to the Ghost Recon Future Soldier single player campaign was also unveiled early today, which includes a new augmented reality system and stealth kills.
