E3 2014: New Far Cry 4 screenshots showcase stunning locations

The first batch of Far Cry 4 screenshots have been released by Ubisoft showing some glorious-looking environments and giving us a close-up look at this year’s baddie.

Ubisoft has confirmed that Far Cry 4 will launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows PC on November 21, 2014.

The open-world, first-person shooter will be set in the Himalayas, a place called Kyrat, which is said to be a ‘perilous and wild region’ that is currently ruled by a self-appointed king. Once again, players can expect a vast array of weapons and vehicles, as well as a few surprises.

In the official press release, Ubisoft says:

“Following the success of Far Cry 3, we wanted to take the franchise to the next level and create a game that will surprise players and exceed fans’ expectations. Given the unique setting, we feel Far Cry 4 will stand out as a top first-person shooter and we’re eager to reveal more about the game in the coming months.”

Ubisoft has also confirmed that those who pre-order Far Cry 4 will receive the Limited Edition version, which includes three exclusive single player missions featuring Hurk who appeared in Far Cry 3’s DLC.
