Fergal Gara, head of Sony Computer Entertainment U.K., has said that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is poised to become the PlayStation 4’s biggest game of next year.
Speaking to VideoGamer at E3 this week, Gara said the hotly anticipated Naughty Dog title is definitely ‘one to watch.’
“It certainly will be well up there, if not the biggest title [on PS4]," said Gara, when discussing the PS4’s 2015 line-up. "Certainly of what we’ve announced so far it’s the key one to watch.
"It was fantastic to hear the response in the room as soon as even the logo came up. That shows you the respect that Naughty Dog have and the warmth there is for Uncharted and everything they do. That was one of the real nice moments of the press conference."
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End was given the teaser trailer treatment during the climax of Sony’s press conference on Monday evening.
While brief, Naughty Dog confirmed that the trailer was utilizing in-game footage captured directly from a PS4. In terms of storyline, the studio said that the sequel sees hero Nathan Drake embarking on a globe-trotting journey that sees him on the trail of a pirate treasure.
However, Nolan North, who voices Drake, admitted this week that Uncharted 4 could be the final chapter in the series for Naughty Dog.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is due out in 2015, exclusively on PS4.
