E3 2015 is over for another year, and what a show it’s been. As we pack our bags and head back home we’re left with a tough decision: which games deserve our coveted awards this year?
Winner: Star Wars Battlefront
We’ve craved a decent Star Wars shooter for many years and DICE looks like it’s about to deliver with the stunning Star Wars Battlefront. It was one thing simply watching the trailer at EA’s press conference and seeing the huge battle on Hoth complete with authentic-looking stormtroppers, AT-ATs and Y-Wing bombers swopping ovehead, and it was another experience entirely to actually play it.
No doubt about it: Star Wars Battlefront is the most faithfully created vision of the Star Wars franchise, combining stunning graphics and authentic sounds from the franchise with trademark hard-hitting shooter gameplay, which is just going to be immense with teams of up to 40 players. The thought of being able to visit and battle across places like Endor and Tattoine makes the hairs stand up our necks, but also being able to play as iconic characters such as Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Darth Vadar almost brings a tear to our eyes.
The trailers look fantastic, but when you actually play it you’ll be transported into an authentic Star Wars gameworld that grabs you by the throat and wows you with its grandeur. Star Wars Battlefront is simply stunning, and a must-have game for any fan of the Star War series.
