Electronic Arts has confirmed the existence of Battlefield 4.
The next instalment in the military shoot-‘em-up franchise was revealed on Medal of Honor: Warfighter’s website, which confirmed that players who pre-order the game will gain access to Battlefield 4’s beta in fall 2013.
It’s early days yet though, with no further information on the game currently available. However, it has always been assumed EA would try to release something related to Battlefield every other year. This year is MoH’s turn, so we can conceivably expect Battlefield 4 to turn up in late 2013.
EA is still supporting Battlefield 3, which was released in October 2011 for PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360, via a series of post-launch DLC packs.
