Electronic Arts announced today that two of it’s anticipated titles will be getting delayed into the 2009 fiscal year, commencing April 1, 2008.
The games in question are Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, and Battlefield: Bad Company. From the look of things, it seems that we won’t be seeing either of these games before Q2 of 2008 at the earliest.
This comes as quite a blow to PlayStation 3 owners, as several other titles have been pushed back lately, including the powerhouse title Haze, which has been set back more than once.
Although no date was given for these games by EA, online retailers have begun showing tentative release dates for Mercenaries in August. This is quite the delay from the planned "early 2008" date that was originally announced back in 2007.
As always, PSU will inform you of any and all updates, so check back for the latest.
