Electronic Arts today revealed a trove of details surrounding its upcoming first-person shooter, Battlefield 3.
Battlefield 3, built with DICE’s new Frostbite 2 engine technology, will feature 24-player multiplayer matches on PS3 (compared to 64-player on PC), flyable jets, and the ability to enter prone position. Other gameplay details remain sparse, but one element bound for inclusion is the ability to drag wounded comrades to safer locations on the battlefield.
The new engine allows for improved environmental destruction in Battlefield 3, as well as the usual fare like smoother animations and enhanced visuals.
