EA Gothenburg becomes Ghost

Swedish developer EA Gothenburg has a new name – Ghost, to be exact.

The company’s new website launched this week and wasted no time in making a call for staff to join a variety of new projects. It was previously revealed that the studio was working on a new Need for Speed title – back when it was known as EA Gothenburg, that is.

Other listings indicated the studio was hiring for a new generation of games using DICE’s Frostbite 2 engine.

The new Ghost site however confirms it is hiring for a vehicle specialist, which certainly points to Need for Speed:

"As a Senior Vehicle Artist you will help define and document in-game vehicle specifications, prototype new features and implement and tweak vehicle assets under direction from the Vehicle Producer," it reads. "This is a key role in the making of our game. As the vehicle is almost always located in the center of player’s view, it’s imperative that the vehicle looks sensational at all times."

Burnout developer Criterion Games worked on the latest Need for Speed title, Most Wanted, which released to critical and commercial success in late October 2012.

Stay tuned for more info on Ghost as we get it.
