When EA signed the licensing agreement with Epic Games in order to utilize their Unreal Engine 3, they brought us Medal of Honor: Airborne and Army of Two with it. Now that EA has gotten a taste of what the engine has to offer, they’re looking for second helpings. This has caused EA to extend their licensing agreement and have confirmed that they now have more than five games in development that will utilize it.
"With the largest and most talented studio operation in the world, it’s critical for us to give our studio teams the best tools they need to make great games," said Frank Gibeau, President, at EA. "This agreement reflects our commitment to Epic’s technology which, in combination with our own cutting-edge systems, allows us to create ground breaking hits."
There are no details in regards to what games are currently under development, though we do expect them to be revealed in a timely fashion. When these titles are slowly named and confirmed, we’ll help keep you up to date with the game announcements.
