EA Partners has snapped up Valve puzzler Portal 2, confirming the firm will publish the game for PS3, 360, PC & Mac platforms in spring 2011.
The sequel was originally scheduled to ship in February, though is now pencilled in for April 21, 2011.
Valve’s vice president of marketing, Doug Lombardi, commented, "Portal 2 is Valve’s most innovative title in the company’s history and will be launched with a first-class launch campaign this April."
"We’re excited to be working with Electronic Arts to deliver this title as we expand our platform strategy to include the Mac and PlayStation 3 platforms."
Portal 2’s already created quite a buzz around the web, with the title scooping up the accolade for most anticipated game of 2011 at the recent Spike TV Video Game Awards.
The game sees players tackling a fresh onslaught of brainteasers and test chambers either solo or as part of the brand-new co-op mode, the latter of which features its own unique campaign and characters. Fans of the original may also be chuffed to learn that crafty computer GLaDOS will be popping up in the game too.
