There was once a time when Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 looked as though it would never see the light of day on PlayStation 3. Developed by EA Los Angeles, the popular RTS sequel had been pushed into the "suspended development" circle, which usually means we’ll never see it finished.
Fortunately, EA saw fit to resume the game’s development a few months back, and has since acknowledged that the PS3 version of the game is superior in certain areas to its Xbox 360 counterpart.
According to Red Alert 3’s producer Greg Kasavin, the PS3 installment offers much better visuals than you’ll find on Microsoft’s console, observing that the water effects, general color palette, and even the general unit aesthetics are more polished in comparison.
On top of just looking better (which is usually what matters), Red Alert 3 on PS3 also features the same type of content that the PC Premier Edition launched with. However, 1up notes that the most significant bonus is the Unit Profiles, which detail what each type of unit within the game is capable of.
We should also mention that the PS3 iteration also features more skirmish maps than both other platforms, something that helps justify the price tag come launch.
