The Ultimate Edition of EA Sports FC 27 will feature France and Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappé as its cover athlete.
Mbappé had previously appeared as the cover star on FIFA 23, at which point EA and FIFA were obviously still collaborating on their annual football titles. He had also previously graced the covers of FIFA 21 and FIFA 23. Here’s what the football star had to say in a statement:
To be featured on the cover of an EA Sports FC title for the first time is a very special moment for me. It’s an honour to continue my long-term relationship with the franchise in its latest chapter, alongside the players who have shaped its history. I can’t wait for everyone to experience FC 27.

EA Sports has yet to announce the cover athlete for the Standard Edition of EA Sports FC 27. A gameplay reveal for the football title is going to drop on YouTube on July 23 as part of a “week of announcements.”
