According to an interview with several key members of EA Sports PGA Tour‘s development team, the upcoming golfing title will be capped at 30 FPS on home consoles.
David Baker (Lead Producer), Ben Ramsour (Producer), and Craig Penner (Gameplay Designer) were interviewed by Operation Sports.com, which touched base on the frame rate for EA Sports PGA Tour. In response about the 30 FPS console cap, Penner replied:
That’s correct regarding consoles at 30 FPS. And YES… PC has options for 30FPS, 60FPS, and unlocked framerate.
EA Sports PGA Tour was originally scheduled to launch on March 24, 2023, but was pushed back to April 7 to have the game out alongside the Master Tournament. The game is EA’s first golfing title since 2015’s Rory Mcllroy PGA Tour.
