EA’s PS4 line-up logs 2.3 million hours in online gameplay

Electronic Arts has revealed that PlayStation 4 titles Battlefield 4, Madden NFL 25, Need for Speed: Rivals and FIFA 14 have notched up an eye-watering 2.3 million hours online in five days.

The four games formed part of PS4’s launch line-up in the U.S. on November 15. In total, the titles logged five million gameplay sessions online — impressive stuff.

EA has reason to celebrate over the console’s launch, having previously claimed that one in every three titles sold on PS4 was published by the industry giant.

Nonetheless, the software line-up wasn’t without its hiccups. Battlefield 4 in particular suffers from some multiplayer-related issues that kick players back to the main menu screen.

However, developer DICE has confirmed it is working on a patch to remedy the problem.

PS4 is due for release in the U.K. and Europe on November 29.
