Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim sells 3.5 million in 48 hours

Bethesda has announced that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has sold over 3.5 million units in just 48 hours.

The fantasy RPG hit stores on November 11 and Bethesda expects the game’s launch to rake in over $450 million worldwide in retail sales.

Bethesda shipped a total of seven million units for the game’s release, and confirmed over 50 percent of launch copies found their way into the hands of consumers in Skyrim’s first 48 hours on sale.
