ESRB rates Dino Crisis, RE2 & RE3: Nemesis for PS3

North America’s ESRB has rated three horror classics for release on PlayStation 3 in the territory – Capcom’s Dino Crisis, Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.

This should come as little surprise to regular readers, as Capcom previously pledged that it would be releasing a number of PSone games via Sony’s PlayStation Network service throughout the course of the year (with Resident Evil: Director’s Cut already available in the U.S.)

For those out of the loop, Dino Crisis hit stores back in 1999 and has players battling it out against a variety of blood-thirsty critters while running around 3D environments and solving numerous puzzles. Meanwhile, Resident Evil 2, released in early 1998, has players surviving through a zombie-infested Raccoon City as either rookie cop Leon S. Kennedy or fellow student Claire Redfield.

Lastly, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis – released in fall 1999 – casts players in the shoes of former S.T.A.R.S member Jill Valentine as she attempts to escape Raccoon City 24 hours before the events of RE2 while evading the clutches of Umbrella’s latest bio-weapon, the rocket launcher-wielding Nemesis.

Release dates for the games have yet to be revealed, though hopefully we won’t have to wait too long to get downloading.
