Boss Team Games and Saber Interactive have announced that horror romp Evil Dead: The Game has been delayed to February 2022. The game was originally pencilled in for a release this year, and will be coming to PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
Here’s the official blurb on the delay:
Hey groovy gamers, we’re targeting a new release date to give the team some extra time for polish and to ensure this is the ultimate Evil Dead experience you’re all waiting for!
We want to thank everyone for your understanding and support and please stay tuned for more information about new character updates, pre-order availability, and the next gameplay video featuring Bruce Campbell.
Based on the hugely popular Evil Dead franchise, this video game adaptation marries cooperative and player-versus-player mechanics, with players able to progress through a skill tree and wield more than 25 weapons, including the iconic chainsaw as used by Ash, who is played by actor Bruce Campbell.
Evil Dead: The Game is scheduled for release in February 2022 on PS5, PS4, PC, Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
