Exclusive Street Fighter x Tekken PS Vita characters coming to consoles

The PlayStation Vita version of Street Fighter x Tekken is launching March 6 with a dozen new characters. Shack is reporting that Capcom’s Seth Killian said those characters will eventually make it to console players. “We’ll find a way to make sure console fans are happy, as well,” he told Shack.

In addition to the 38 characters on the console versions, the PS Vita version features classic Street Fighter characters Elena, Guy, Cody, Sakura, Dudley, and Blanka, while Tekken characters will include Alisa, Christie, Jack, Bryan, Lars, and Lei.

When and how that happens is still up in the air, but since the Vita version is not slated for release until the fall, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see these characters come to consoles around that time. The game features co-op play, which Killian said the community is already embracing. The game is slated for release on consoles on March 6 in the U.S. and March 9 in Europe.
