Archetype Entertainment has released 40 minutes of new gameplay footage for its upcoming sci-fi epic Exodus, offering a look at the mission titled Liberating the Kay.

In these highlights from the ‘Liberating the Kay’ mission demo, you’re seeking aid from Suliman Tenjin, leader of the powerful Tenjin Dynasty. But his help comes at a price: a favor that leads straight into a fight against your half-brother Gideon Aslan’s forces for control of Khonsu, an orbital space station that’s protected your homeworld and been home to the Kay for generations.
Along the way, you’ll face decisions both big and small that reflect your path toward becoming a Traveler, Paladin (virtue) or Immortal (ambition). Ultimately, you’ll determine the fate of the Kay, a choice that will have lasting consequences…
Exodus is scheduled to ship in April 2027 and takes place in the far future, in a cluster known as the Omega Centauri. It’s the debut title from Archetype Entertainment and is powered by Unreal Engine 5, and as garnered a lot of attention not only for its comparison to Mass Effect, but also for Matthew McConaughey role as C.C. Orlev.
The timeline spans tens of thousands of years and begins with the environmental collapse of Earth around the year 2200 CE, resulting in fleets of arkships attempting to locate new worlds, some of which reach the cluster by 18,000 CE. Exodus follows Travelers, who are a faction looking to unearth relics known as Remnants, and include not only human groups, but alien lifeforms too, each with an agenda of their own.
