Codemasters has announced that F1 2015 will be racing onto PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in June 2015.
This latest entry in the venerable racing franchise arrives slightly earlier in the season than usual, and marks F1’s debut on current-generation consoles.
F1 2015 looks set to deliver the most realistic entry in the franchise to date, thanks largely to new graphical fidelity achieved by Codemasters’ proprietary EGO game engine. Physics have also received an overhaul to improve on vehicle handling, which will benefit both newcomers and veteran F1 gamers alike.
“The handling model offers enhancements and additions in over 20 areas, including engine and transmission, aerodynamics, fuel tank, force feedback, suspension and most notably a brand new tyre physics model, to recreate the breathtaking handling characteristics of the world’s fastest and most responsive racing cars,” reads the press blurb.
