Bethesda’s critically acclaimed third instalment in the Fallout series has shipped a total of 4.7 million units across PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 since its launch late last month.
The post-apocalyptic RPG has already topped the charts in a number of countries, including the UK, where it successfully knocked Xbox 360 exclusive Fable 2 off the top spot following its release on October 31.
In addition, the company also revealed that first day sales of the title have been 57 per cent stronger than those of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, with the game having already outsold all previous entries in the Fallout series by a substantial margin.
