Todd Howard, Executive Producer at Bethesda Game Studios, has revealed that the upcoming post-apocalyptic Fallout 3 will feature as many as 200 different endings.
Previously it was announced that the game would include 12 different endings, although that number clearly appears to have been eclipsed in the months gone by. However, it is also believed that the differences between each ending would be minimal, so it is probably best to keep that in mind.
Elsewhere, Howard also revealed the following details in a recent OXM podcast (though the information was conducted with an Xbox site, we’d like to remind our readers that the info still applies to the PS3 version also)
-The game will be roughly twice as large as originally conceived
-Your party will contain up to three individuals; the player, a humanoid companion and a NPC like “dogmeat”
-Dogmeat can get killed, although the developers are still working on its health system
-Development is complete and the game is now going through testing
-The main quest is expected to last about 20 hours; overall playthrough can last up to 100
-The player is able to interact with The Brotherhood of Steel after a certain point in the game
-The game is still scheduled for a Fall 2008 release
-Bethesda will be staying true to the visual style of the game
Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
