Fallout 4 console mod support – the much-touted feature that’s been speculatively dormant since its initial announcement at the game’s formal reveal at last year’s pre-E3 conference – has finally been given a concrete release date.
Speaking with Game Informer, Bethesda’s Todd Howard confirmed that the feature would be hitting PS4 in June , a full two months after its anticipated release on PC.
It’s not clear, though, what sort of restrictions with regards to actual content there may be when compared to that of its PC counterpart. As we’re all aware, things are a little more gated on the likes of PS4 and Xbox One, so it will be interesting to see how it all unfolds with regards to curation and of course the finer technical aspects.
One thing’s for sure – it’ll make traversing the post-apocalyptic landscape that much more interesting.
