Famitsu confirms Resident Evil 5 support crew

The latest issue of Japan’s Famitsu magazine has detailed some of the support crew Chris Redfield and partner Sheva Alomar will encounter in Capcom’s upcoming Resident Evil 5.

Translated by IGN, the article confirms that no fewer than four non-playable members of the Bio-terrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA) will assist Redfield and Alomar on their African adventure at various stages throughout the game.

The following non-zombie slayers will assist you in Resident Evil 5:

Kirk Mathison:

A chopper pilot affiliated with the West African branch of the BSAA, Mathison provides air support and is also responsible for relaying messages to home base.

Dave Johnson:

A member of the BSAA’s Delta Team and commander of his own Alpha Team unit.

Dan Dechant:

Dechant is a member of the Alpha Team responsible for infiltrating Kijuju prior to Redfield and Alomar’s arrival. He provides the pair with valuable information on the current situation.

Reynard Fisher:

A Special Agent working for the BSAA, Fisher assumes the responsibility undercover work, blending in with local activity in order to provide the rest of the team with valuable support materials.

In addition to the above, it is also known that the player will run into Josh Stone, a member of the West African branch and leader of Delta Team. Stone will require protection from time to time, most notably while hacking into a computer terminal as waves of Majini attack nearby.

Resident Evil 5 is due out on March 13.
