Ubisoft has announced on its official blog that its hotly anticipated action-adventure title, Far Cry 4, has gone gold.
Far Cry 4 is due out on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 on November November 18 in the U.S. and November 20 in Europe.
The game’s Executive Producer, Dan Hay, commented, "When I look back at Far Cry 4’s development, I’m amazed at what the team pulled off.
"We added verticality. We gave the player the ability to fly. We gave them the ability to fly in co-op. We gave them the ability to fly and have the other player down on the ground running around while they’re flying. We made the number of encounters way higher. The encounters are different, and the animals are different. The characters are unique, and your friends will have subtly different experiences with the story. I’m proud of both the quality and the sheer volume in Far Cry 4."
Tony Key, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing, added: "After the critical and commercial success of the previous game, Far Cry is now one of Ubisoft’s top brands. Far Cry 4 will raise the bar for the series yet again.
Ubisoft said during its latest financial call overnight that it expects Far Cry 4 to sell six million copies in its first year on the market.
