far cry 5 release date

Ubisoft has officially blown the lid of the highly anticipated Far Cry 5 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One this afternoon, confirming the upcoming open-world action title will release  on February 27, 2018.

In addition, the French publishing giant also unveiled a number of new cinematic Far Cry 5 trailers for the game, which we’ve included below.

As previously confirmed, Far Cry 5 will take place in an open-world Hope County, Montana, bringing the multi-million selling franchise to a U.S. setting for the first time in the series’ history. Gamers will find themselves in the middle of a violent takeover by the fanatical doomsday cult know was Project at Eden’s Gate, and must attempt to disrupt the nefarious organisation’s plans in an attempt to liberate the people of Hope County at all costs. Far Cry 5 will feature aerial dogfights across Big Sky Country, and explore farmlands, forests, mountains, and rivers as they hunt down cult members with a variety of weapons, from firearms to baseball bats.

You go out into the world and you meet people for the first time, you don’t know them, maybe they don’t trust you,” says Executive Producer and Creative Director Dan Hay. “But if you can strike a deal with them, if you can have a conversation with them and make them part of what it is you’re building, they can join your resistance.

It’s definitely about chaos, and there’s a lot of that in this,” says Hay. “But it’s also about building a beautiful world, and that’s a thing we want to introduce you to. We went to Montana, and we fell in love with it. It’s stunning.”"
