Ubisoft has unleashed a new live-action trailer for its upcoming prehistoric open-world romp, Far Cry Primal.
This latest trailer declares that Primal is all about guts rather than guns, which makes sense as you are only equipped with primitive weapons; it’s set 10,000 years BC, after all, so firearms aren’t exactly the order of the day. The trailer gives us a taste of what players will have to face in the game, as the protagonist faces up against a saber-toothed tiger with only a bone for a weapon.

Far Cry is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on February 23, 2016. Set in the hostile land of Oros, Primal casts players in the role of Takkar, a formidable hunter who must rise to become the leader of a tribe while battling rival tribes and blood-thirsty creatures, including saber-toothed cats and wolves.
Primal includes a day/night cycle and allows gamers to craft items and tame the local wildlife, while Takkar’s pet Owl can be used to scout the area via the player’s control. One of the key features from previous games that won’t be featured in Primal is co-op, with Ubisoft explaining that it wants to focus on a single-player component this time around. The game world is said to be as large as Far Cry 4.
