Variety has reported that the FX’s Far Cry series has cast a number of notable actors including Brendan Gleeson and Jennifer Jason Leigh.
Joining them is Hamish Linklater, Sam Spruell, and Jamie Demetriou, who are all being lined up to appear in the Far Cry Season 1, which features Rob Mac as lead and co-creator, as well as Lizzy Caplan and Steve Buscemi on its cast.
Far Cry is based on Ubisoft’s hugely successful video game franchise of the same name, and will follow an anthology format with different cast and settings each season. The show is being lined up to air on FX, Hulu, and Disney Plus, with Mac serving as executive producer under his More Better Productions banner.
While we’re on the subject of Far Cry, Ubisoft has confirmed that it is working on a brand new instalment in the franchise, which follows on the back of long-running rumours about Far Cry 7. While the publisher hasn’t revealed any further information on the game, it is expected to arrive before April 2029.
