FFXIII sells over one million copies in Japan

Square Enix has revealed that Final Fantasy XIII has managed to shift over one million copies in Japan in just 24 hours.

The official blurb from the Japanese software giant states that sales of the mammoth RPG have "exceeded one million,” before going on to say that the figure does not take in to consideration units packaged with the Lightning PlayStation 3 bundle.

Around two million copies of the game have been shipped to stores. Final Fantasy XIII will arrive in western territories in March 2010 on both PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms.
