U.K. bookmaker William Hill has tipped Electronic Arts’ FIFA 15 as this year’s Christmas no.1.
The latest entry in the venerable sports franchise currently has a 1/4 odds of nabbing the top spot come December 25. This puts it ahead of Destiny at 7/2.
Moving on, Assassin’s Creed Unity is next in line with odds of 7/1, followed by Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris at 9/1, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel with 9/1, and LEGO Batman 3 at 16/1.
F1 2014 rounds out the betting list at 16/1. Interestingly, the bookmaker previously included Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, claiming it did not realize it was a 2015 release.
Conspicuous by their absence however is Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Far Cry 4, both games of which are undoubtedly going to perform strongly this holiday season.
Joe Crilly, a spokesperson for William Hill, commented, "Destiny is no doubt going straight to the top of the charts this week, but its sales look likely to tail off to make way for FIFA come Christmas."
