EA Sports’ FIFA 17 has topped the U.K. All Format Chart following its launch last week, smashing franchise records in the process.
FIFA 13 previously held the series’ record for debut sales, which FIFA 17 has managed to better, while sales are up almost 18 percent over last year’s instalment in the venerable footie franchise. Considering the amount of new additions to FIFA 17, including a full-fledged story mode, it’s probably not too surprising gamers have flocked to the title.
FIFA 17 PS4 leads console sales of footie epic
In terms of platform sales, the PS4 version of FIFA 17 took the lion’s share of copies sold, with over 53 percent attributed to Sony’s current-generation console. Xbox One meanwhile took a respectable 41 percent of sales.
