The Entertainment Rating Software Board has posted up listings for PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions of Final Fantasy 1-6 Pixel Remasters.
Originally released for mobile platforms, the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters series take the original six entries in the venerable JRPG franchise and redesign them with all-new pixel art visuals and a rearranged soundtrack.
Beyond that, the gameplay has been spruced up and features a modernised UI, as well as a bestiary, illustration gallery and music player.
Here’s some more details based on the Final Fantasy I Pixel Remaster:
- Universally updated 2D pixel graphics, including the iconic FINAL FANTASY character designs created by Kazuko Shibuya, the original artist and current collaborator.
- Beautifully rearranged soundtrack in a faithful FINAL FANTASY style, overseen by original composer Nobuo Uematsu.
- Improved gameplay, including modernized UI, auto-battle options, and more!
- Dive into the world of the game with supplemental extras like the bestiary, illustration gallery, and music player.
Square Enix hasn’t announced anything about Final Fantasy 1-6 Pixel Remasters coming to PS4 and Switch, but hopefully we’ll hear something soon.
