Square Enix has confirmed that it will be hosting a one-year anniversary Active Time Report for Final Fantasy 15.
The event will take place on November 29 at 22.00 Japanese Time, and will be streamed live on YouTube.
Fans will be treated to a look back at Final Fantasy 15 in the year since its launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Square Enix is expected to reveal new information on the game, including details on the “surprising” update due to drop in December 2017.
In addition, the Japanese publishing giant will share the results of the latest survey for the Comrades multiplayer expansion and Episode Ignis.
If that wasn't enough, Square Enix also teased that “there may be even more news” to digest during the broadcast.
Final Fantasy 15 was released last November for PS4 and Xbox One, and will launch on PC in early 2018.
Square Enix previously revealed that it is continuing to work on the critically acclaimed RPG throughout 2018, so expect new content to drop at some point in the near future.
Final Fantasy 15 is known for its arduous development cycle, which originally began life as the PS3-exclusive Final Fantasy Versus XIII.
However, around 2012 the project was scrapped at around the 25 percent complete mark and revamped for current-generation systems into the game we know today.
A number of major elements were reworked for the game in the transition to what would become FF15, with the character of Stella being removed completely. However, the open-world setting, Noctis' role, and the more action-oriented combat remained.
Despite its troubles, Final Fantasy 15 enjoyed considerable commercial success, becoming the fastest-selling game in the venerable RPG franchise to date.
