Final Fantasy 15 update 1.03 detailed
Weighing in at 3.2GB, this latest update for the acclaimed fantasy JRPG includes a New Game+ mode, which allows players to carry various data from the original playthrough over to a new adventure. This includes items, costumes, settings, weapons, levels, and Ascension skills, though it’s worth noting that there is no new difficulty level to tackle.

There’s also some bonus content up for grabs, such as a photo frame mode, which lets you pick from a variety of themed frames to use with Prompto’s photograph collection. Finally, the update 1.03 fixes various game issues to allow for a more polished performance, although Square Enix has provided any in-depth details on this particular avenue.
Final Fantasy 15 was released worldwide on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 29, 2016. The game suffered from a problematic and arduous development cycle, having originally been planned as a PS3-exclusive under the title of Final Fantasy Versus 13 way back in 2006. However, fast forward to 2012, and Square Enix opted to scrap Versus when it was around 25 percent complete and revamp the project for new hardware under a brand new title, cutting many elements from the original version in the process.
Unlike the traditional Final Fantasy experience, this latest series installment takes on a more action-oriented approach to gameplay, particularly its combat, which doffs its cap to the likes of Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy Type-0 more than classic FF titles. Still, it does see the return of the large open-world that the franchise has become known for, offering a wealth of exploration and side quest opportunities for players.
Square Enix will be supporting Final Fantasy 15 with various post-launch content well into 2017, so stay tuned for more details.
