If Final Fantasy 16 Launches In 2022, Then Forspoken Could Reportedly Get Delayed To Next Year

Square Enix could end up delaying Forspoken into 2023 if the publisher opts to release Final Fantasy 16 this year, according to XboxEra’s Nick Baker.

Speaking in the episode 110 ‘Geeks Do It Better,’ Baker prefaced the report by saying it’s a bit of weird one, so we should clearly take it with a pinch of salt. He also mentioned that he’s not into JPRGs and hasn’t been keeping up with Final Fantasy, which explains his uncertainty behind the rumor.

If Square can get Final Fantasy [16] out the door this year, if they think they can, apparently they will delay Forspoken again. If they think they can get Final Fantasy 16 out this year.

Forspoken has already been delayed once, and is currently scheduled for release on October 11, 2022 for PS5 and PC. Final Fantasy 16 has yet to attract a release date, although a 2022 launch hasn’t been ruled out all the same.
