Final Fantasy 7 25th Anniversary Stream Set For June 16, Will Be ‘Short And Sweet’

Square Enix has announced that it will be hosting the Final Fantasy 25th anniversary stream on June 16, which will last only 10 minutes in what the publisher describes as a ‘short and sweet’ event.

That’s not to say there won’t be much showcased, though, as Tetsuya Nomura, the director behind Final Fantasy 7 Remake, has said there will be plenty of content packed into the broadcast.

At only around 10 minutes long, it will be short and sweet, but we have packed in lots of information, so I hope everyone can look forward to the unveiling.

Naturally a lot of folk will be expecting the much-anticipated Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 to be announced during the stream, and to be fair, we couldn’t think of a better time to lift the wraps off the sequel.

Previously, Yoshinori Kitase said that Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 would be announced this year, so hopefully we’ll at least get a brief reveal during the 25th anniversary stream.

Final Fantasy 7 was originally released for the PSOne back in 1997, and spawned its own mini-franchise in the shape of the Compilation of Final Fantasy 7, which includes spin-off games, mobile titles, and a CG movie.
