Square Enix has announced the voice cast for Final Fantasy Tactics: Ivalice Chronicles, with Ben Starr, who previously featured in Final Fantasy XVI as protagonist Clive, confirmed to appear in the game.

Final Fantasy Tactics — The Ivalice Chronicles will feature a number of improvements over the 1997 PSOne classic, including a new user interface allowing for a more approachable and intuitive experience. The game’s visuals have also been enhanced as you’d expect, featuring 3D battlefields and stunning pixel art popping with vibrancy. Square Enix will release the game for PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S on September 30, 2025.
Back in June 2025, the game’s director, Kazutoyo Maehiro revealed that the original source code for Final Fantasy Tactics — The War of the Lions (of which this remake is based on) no longer exists, and commenting that Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles only exists “by sheer force.”
