In addition to the new Final Fantasy XV trailer, Square Enix also released the first trailer for the upcoming Final Fantasy Type-0 HD remaster.
Most of the trailer contains gameplay showing off the fluid, action-oriented combat system of Type-0. The end of the video reveals the game will launch on March 17, 2015 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and include a voucher for the Final Fantasy XV demo “Episode Duscae.”
Having played the first several hours of the game, I can say the visuals shown are improved but nowhere near the effort of the Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster. Currently Type-0 HD’s graphics look blurry and easily look like a port of a PlayStation Portable title. NeoGAF member Cheesemeister had hands-on time with the game and tweeted he “was disappointed at the low-res textures and artifacting when running.” Hopefully, the subpar visuals don’t deter people from playing one, if not the the best contemporary Final Fantasy game.
