Square Enix has engaged its own “speed mode” for the acclaimed remake of Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age.

See what goal fans helped them sprint past below.

If you haven’t had the chance to play the twelfth installment of Square Enix’s beloved series, fret not, as the company announced Thursday that sales have not only met, but “exceeded” one million copies in combined digital sales and physical shipments.

That’s a lot of Gil.

Released back in July of this year exclusively for PlayStation 4, it was hailed as the definitive version, and like a fat gold chocobo filled to the brim with gysahl greens, it was loaded with tons of upgrades and improvements, and it was massively beautiful to look at.

Enhancements like personal license boards for each character, a turbo mode that allowed players to blaze through areas and fights (because your time is valuable), and an improved gambit system, along with remastered HD graphics and soundtrack to boot have helped to garner the deserved milestone.

Producer Hiroaki Kato gave a heartfelt “Thank you,” to fans, saying “We are overwhelmed with the response from both new players and fans of the original.”

In honor of this, the official Final Fantasy channel on Youtube has uploaded a remake of the original looping demo, which you can watch below.

As if that wasn’t enough, to commemorate the achievement even further, acclaimed environmental artist and former Square Enix art director, Isamu Kamikokuryo, unveiled a gorgeous illustration of Vaan and the gang in Ivalice.

So fans, be proud of your contribution to this accomplishment, and if you still haven’t had the chance to play it, you can grab it right now on the PlayStation Store, or directly from the Behemoth’s mouth.
