Final Fantasy XIII-2 DLC story volumes teased

Square Enix’s Yoshinori Kitase and Motomu Toriyama have hinted that Final Fantasy XIII-2 may receive character specific DLC episodes.

That’s according to an interview with the pair posted in FFXIII-2’s Ultimania guide books, where the developers revealed their intention to release additional character ‘volumes’ in the FFXIII-2 saga.

They describe the main game as Noel and Serah’s volume, but said we can also expect future tales covering the likes of Snow, Sazh and more. Quite how and when these will materialise remains to be seen, but it is possible they may take the form of additional DLC.

It’s worth noting that one of the game’s ending displays a rather telling ‘To be continued…’ teaser, confirming the developers aren’t planning on retiring the narrative just yet.

Square recently unveiled the game’s first batch of FFXIII-2, which will be released on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live next week.

FFXIII-2 was released in the U.S. on Tuesday and hits Europe tomorrow.
