Final Fantasy XV picks up a Teen rating from ESRB

Square Enix’s official Final Fantasy XV Twitter page (via Reddit) has confirmed that the hotly anticipated JRPG has been rated T (Teen) by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB).

The rating confirms that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One title features elements of bad language, mild blood, partial nudity, and violence. In other words, exactly what you’d probably expect from the latest crop of Final Fantasy titles.

Final Fantasy XV is due out worldwide on September 30. The game has been a long time coming, having first been announced 10 years ago as the PS3-exclusive Final Fantasy Versus XIII.

However, after a long period of silence on the project, Square Enix re-revealed the game for current-generation formats with a new title during Sony’s E3 2013 press conference.
