Final Fantasy XV stage demo coming to Gamescom – report

According to a report on YouTube channel NinotakuTV (via GearNuke), Square Enix will host a stage demo for the hotly anticipated JRPG, Final Fantasy XV, at Gamescom in Germany next month.

While nothing official has been confirmed yet, this would certainly tie in with Game Director Hajime Tabata’s comments during a recent Active Time Report broadcast, where he said FFXV would be putting in an appearance at the Cologne-based event.

As expected, the game skipped E3 entirely, which gave room for the likes of Kingdom Hearts III to hog some of the limelight for a change.

Final Fantasy XV is currently in development for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a release date yet to be announced. However, fans got a taster of the game with Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae with pre-orders of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD for PS4 and Xbox One. An update was released last month.

The game was formally known as Final Fantasy Versus XIII before it was re-revealed at E3 2013 under its new title.
