First English gameplay footage of Yakuza Zero emerges from the shadows at E3 2016

Slipping ever-so-slightly under the radar a bit, Sega debuted the very first English language gameplay footage of Yakuza Zero during the PlayStation E3 2016 show floor livestream event.

Set for release on PS4 in early 2017 in North America and Europe, Yakuza Zero is essentially an origin story that centers around longtime series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu, describing his rise to prominence in the Yakuza.

Like all the previous games in the series, Yakuza Zero is an action RPG that combines furiously violent combat with a whole host of missions, side-missions and mini-games such as pachinko, golf, baseball, managing a nightclub and much much more.

For the first time in the series, players will also get a chance to play as the unstable Majima Goro, a long-time rival of Kiryu’s as Yakuza Zero details his rise to power also. When it releases next year on PS4, Yakuza Zero will boast Japanese language with English subtitles.

Anyway enough waffle; get your fill of all that lovely, bone-snapping Yakuza Zero gameplay below.
