Clint Worley, an Executive Producer at Sony Computer Entertainment sent gaming tongues wagging earlier today on Twitter as he showcased the first known image of the PlayStation 4 version of the famed free-to-play first-person shooter, Planetside 2.
The MMO sci-fi shooter, which has been met with critical acclaim since its release on PC, was originally scheduled to debut on PS4 back in November but was held back to a vague ‘early 2014’ launch window. The image will no doubt come as a relief to would-be suitors of the large-scale title who feared the worse given the lack of concrete news surrounding the PS4 version.
Other details of the game’s progress were scarce, despite the game now being confirmed to run at full 1080p, comparable to maximum settings to that of its PC counterpart. Additionally, the DualShock 4’s speaker has been sounded out to play some part in the procession in the future.
New build is about to drop so I grabbed a pic before the install. Dualshock rumble will add a ton to the gameplay! pic.twitter.com/1neGHhHqQw
