First wrestlers and screens released for WWE 2K17 on PS4

Those folks over at IGN have started a four week programme called the ‘Suplex City Census’ which aside from sounding all cool and stuff, actually does a great thing by drip feeding new superstar announcements and screenshots for 2K’s upcoming WWE wrestling title, WWE 2K17.

With WWE’s annual Summerslam event sent to kick off later this month, 2K and IGN have decided to make the reveal of these new superstars a little more fun than usual. This year, a “mysterious image” will be released every week jam-packed with clues about which superstars will be announced.

Released just two hours before the official reveal, 2K and IGN encouraged the community to analyse the image to see how many superstars they can guess, with the official reveal letting them know how accurate (or not), their detective work is.

In terms of this initial set of images released by 2K and credited to IGN, we have our first look at The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar strutting down the ramp in an outdoor arena that looks to be Wrestlemania 31 as can be seen above. Elsewhere, IGN has the rest of the images where the likes of Chris Jericho, The Bella Twins and The Usos all look to be in fine form.

Now, without further ado, we have the full list of the announced superstars for week one below in addition to all previously announced wrestlers, too.

While 2K hasn’t supplied a total number for the roster as of yet, the fact that we have three more weeks of reveals and what will surely be a big dollop of extra superstars via DLC means that we could quite easily see a roster that grows well beyond one hundred strong.
